Strawberry Banana Smoothie
Makes 1 or 2 smoothies - Total: 61 carbohydrates 399 calories or 30.5. carbohydrates and 199.5 calories in half the recipe
INGREDIENTS
One frozen overripe banana (27 carbs)
1 cup of frozen strawberries (20 carbs) or raspberries (15 carbs)
2 tablespoons almond butter (7 carbs ) or peanut butter or nut butter of your choice
½ tablespoon maple syrup (7carbs)
¼ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk ( or milk of your choice) (0.5 carbs)
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a blender
Blend to the consistency you prefer. If you like it thinner add more milk, if you want it thicker add more strawberries or bananas. You may add chia or flax seeds for fiber.
TIP:
You can substitute almond butter for 5.3 oz vanilla yogurt (siggi 11 carbs)
